The goal of this final event is to discuss the outcomes and key recommendations of these 2 European projects that targeted key thematics for MPAs: management effectiveness, small-scale fisheries management, mobile species conservation, sustainable financing and climate change adaptation. Participants will contribute to scaling up the solutions identified in the projects for the benefit of the entire Mediterranean MPA community.

The technical  workshop on 14-15 June will provide a valuable opportunity to learn more about the projects’ results and to further discuss key recommendations for decision-makers of the Mediterranean region to be presented at the policy meeting on 16 June. The event will conclude on the morning of 17 June with an on-site exchange: “From local MPA outcomes to a resilient MPA Mediterranean network: lessons from Cap de Creus Natural Park”.
